The University of Jeddah, the newest university in Saudi Arabia, was established in 1435 AH (2014 AD) through Royal Command number 20937, issued on 2/6/1435 AH. This initiative was approved during the 72nd educational symposium, which laid the foundation for the university's creation.

Enhancing the Digital Museum Experience for Deaf Individuals with Special Needs through Augmented Reality in Support of Saudi Vision 2030

The research aims to enrich the digital museum experience for people with special needs, specifically the deaf community, through the use of augmented reality (AR) technology. This contributes to enhancing their interaction with and understanding of the displayed content while supporting the achievement of Saudi Vision 2030 by empowering people with disabilities and providing them with opportunities to benefit from cultural and educational experiences. The research adopted the descriptive approach to analyze relevant literature and previous studies, along with the applied approach through conducting a field experiment at the National Museum of Saudi Arabia in Riyadh. Augmented reality technology was used on a selection of images and visual displays, and a questionnaire was distributed to measure the effectiveness of this experience in enriching the cultural and visual interaction of the deaf community. Among the key findings, participants confirmed that augmented reality technology significantly enhanced their focus on the exhibits and made the museum experience more enjoyable and easier to comprehend. Moreover, AR technology contributed to strengthening their integration and interaction within the museum environment and provided an educational and cultural experience that meets their visual needs. One of the main recommendations of the research is to expand the use of augmented reality technology in Saudi museums to cover various sections and exhibits, with a focus on adapting content to suit the needs of people with disabilities, particularly the deaf community. It is also recommended to design digital museum content supported by visually accessible sign language and integrate it with AR technologies to ensure the full interaction and comprehension of cultural and educational content by the deaf. Additionally, the research recommends training museum staff in the Kingdom on how to use and implement AR technologies in exhibitions, with an emphasis on the interactive and educational aspects for people with disabilities.

Evaluate the Functional Performance of the Proposed Smart Fabric for Equestrian Sports Clothing

In recent years, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia strives to create an attractive environment for investment, productivity, competitiveness, and focus on the industrial and technology sectors. The Kingdom has also paid clear attention to sports to improve the quality of life for all segments of society and achieve the goals of its Vision 2030. Since the textile industry constitutes one of the basic and civilizational components for any society, this research aims to improve the functional performance properties of the fabric used in equestrian sports clothing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The research hypothesis was to verify that treating the fabric commonly used in equestrian sports clothing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with silver nanoparticles may improve the functional performance properties. The research followed the experimental method by treating the research sample of shirt fabric mixed from 95% cotton and 5% spandex with silver nanoparticles at three different concentrations (30-60-90 micrograms/ml) and evaluating the performance of the fabric before and after treatment in terms of bacterial resistance and some physical and mechanical properties. The study concluded that treating the fabric with silver nanoparticles improved some performance properties, the most prominent of which is resistance to bacteria, which increases directly with increasing concentration of silver nanoparticles. Likewise, the weight per square meter of the sample, stiffness in the warp and weft direction, and tensile strength in the warp direction increase with increasing solution treatment concentration. The research concluded with a set of recommendations, the most prominent of which is encouraging interest in treating blended fibers with nanotechnology to create sustainable fabrics suitable for clothing.

Philosophy of design thinking as a creative methodology for designing interactive advertising campaigns

This study deals with design thinking as a creative methodology that aims to solve design problems and employ it to design and produce interactive advertising campaigns that serve the advertising goal. This study deals with four sections; the first section dealt with design thought's nature, emergence, stages, and importance. The second section reviewed instructiveness in advertising campaigns and the importance of interactive advertising campaigns for both the advertiser and the user. The third section discussed the creative strategy for designing advertising campaigns through design thinking, in which the creative methodology presented in designing interactive advertising campaigns through design thought. Finally, the fourth section included the analytical study that dealt with two interactive campaigns in Saudi Arabia, particularly the "Spirit of Saudi," the campaign of the Ministry of Tourism, and the ten-plus-year campaign of the "Shawarmer" Fast Food Company. The most important results of this study signified that the design of interactive advertising campaigns requires an organized methodology characterized by creativity and innovation to achieve the desired effect and goal. In addition, design thinking is a creative methodology that contributes to finding innovative approaches to designing interactive advertising campaigns. To sum up, the study suggests conducting more Arabic studies on design thinking as a creative approach applied in all fields. Further, adopting a creative strategy in employing design thinking to design interactive advertising campaigns in advertising agencies.

The effectiveness of artificial intelligence to enrich the creative design of cartoon characters

Artificial intelligence means "the ability of a machine to simulate human intelligence, or it is computer programming that learns and develops itself to simulate human thinking to perform certain tasks made for it through artificial neural networks, such as making various inferences, processing information and its ability to learn from its mistakes . "which makes it perform its tasks and tasks quickly and with great skill, thus shortening the time and effort. Designing cartoon characters requires creative imagination and technical skill from the designer to design a distinctive character that reflects the features and the desired goal, which requires time and effort from the designer to create it based on a set of considerations such as the target group and the goal of designing this character in addition to the features of the character that reflect the goal of design. Cartoon characters are drawings that aim to convey a message or point of view about certain things, events or situations and are characterized by exaggeration and symbolism so that they have an effect, or they are drawings aimed at achieving a goal that often considers several factors in their design, such as the age group of the recipients, their tendencies, culture, and other factors Others use symbols to express the character and purpose of their design. Artificial intelligence contributes to enrich the creative imagination of the designer when designing characters by saving time and effort and developing various solutions in terms of processing lines and colors, proposing solutions for animation. Therefore, the research aims to study the effectiveness of artificial intelligence in enriching the creative imagination of cartoon character designers, which contributes to reaching creative artistic designs, using artificial intelligence applications and platforms.
